I am a highly experienced designer who specializes in user experience design and user interface design. I also have a thorough knowledge of visual design, branding, and identity development. I have always done freelance projects throughout my career, both in Seattle and in New Mexico where I now live.
Some recent projects:
- Redesign of the sign up experience and customer portal for Darwin's Pet, a raw food pet company based in Seattle
- Design of an android app, email design for multiple projects, as well as branding, ux, visual design, and interaction design for the entire product suite for Boomtime, a marketing company that services small to mid-size businesses
- Design of an iPhone app, coupled with a web and merchant experience for an ecommerce startup
- UX and visual design of a web interface for Teradactyl, LLC’s TiBS true incremental backup software, which was designed to facilitate managing and maintaining data backups across large-scale networks, as well as a rebranding of Teradactyl, LLC’s corporate website
- Wireframe creation for an image editor, tools, and page editor for the redesign of a popular CMS primarily serving churches
- Redesign of the order flow for jewelry insurance company, Lavalier.com
Amazon.com, May 2010-October 2013
Senior User Experience Designer
I worked on two of Amazon’s design teams. The first was the Retail Customer Experience (RCX) Team (May 2011 - October 2012) where I worked as a designer for the Amazon.com cart and checkout pipeline, as well as the designer for the Subscribe & Save program. The second team was the Internatioal Selection Expansion (ISE) Team, where I was the designer for Javari, one of Amazon’s international websites.
- Designed the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of the Subscribe & Save order experience on Amazon.com, iPad, iPhone and Kindle Fire
- Worked on the redesign of the Amazon Shopping Cart
- Redesigned Javari.co.uk to be a fully responsive website, internationalized and localized for four different countries (UK, France, Germany and Japan)
- Created user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback and usability study findings
- Developed conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
- Developed and maintained detailed user-interface specifications
- Presented design work to the product team and Amazon.com executives for review and feedback

At PayScale I was the designer for all B2C and B2B projects: reports, print, advertising and web. I defined, wireframed, and designed user interfaces using user-centered design principles. I worked with product management, development, and marketing to implement UX, UI, and content strategies for both the consumer and B2B PayScale products.
- Redesigned the PayScale Career Research Center to improve navigation and user interaction
- Developed visual branding for PayScale Consumer and Professional products

I was hired as a junior designer at drugstore.com and was promoted several times into positions of progressive responsibility. As Creative Lead, I supervised a team of designers, writers, and photographers, set creative direction and vision, and coordinated with production and merchandising teams to ensure design projects were delivered on time.
- Managed a team of seven while also completing major design projects as lead designer fordrugstore.com, Beauty.com, and Sexual Well-being
- Art Director and Designer for the 2002 Launch of the Sexual Well-being store
- Designed the user interface for Beauty.com's integration into the drugstore.com platform
