Design System

Each designer at Express Scripts contributes to the design system. As we work on new features we work on patterns and components which we funnel into the design system team to be added into the system itself, so it is a living growing system.

Add a Caregiver

I was the lead designer working on a refresh of the Add a Caregiver functionality for express-scripts.com. This functionality allows members to add, edit, or remove any caregivers who manage their medication from their online account.

Accessibility at Express Scripts

Accessibility is an important component of all user experience at Express Scripts. Our experiences conform to AA (and often AAA) A11y standards, and our master design language and development library integrate accessibility standards, which provide consistent, re-usable patterns with accessibility baked in. Each of our projects goes through accessibility review as a necessary part of the development cycle, and I, along with other members of my department, have gone through Deque accessibility training. Along with a content strategist and researcher, I designed the accessibility page at Express Scripts with the intent of showcasing just how important accessibility is to us.

militaryrx.express-scripts.com

Express Scripts is the pharmacy benefit manager for the US Military and my team worked on a redesign of the existing pre-login web experience.

I worked alongside user researchers, content strategists, development teams and business leaders to completely overhaul the site with the goal of making it easier for TRICARE members and beneficiaries to understand their benefits and how to use home delivery. As a team, we did several user studies to determine the appropriate site architecture, and from a design perspective I worked with the current Express Scripts design system to create a co-branded look and feel for the site.

The site was developed in Drupal and I worked with the Drupal developers to design a series of reusable templates and components that would be used throughout the site to create the content we needed, and to set the stage for any other co-branding efforts Express Scripts would take on in the future.
